National Creative Ageing Conference, Newcastle

Taking a fresh look at ‘What’s Next?’

9.30am – 4.30pm Tuesday, October 10, 2023

Join us this October as we ask what next for Creative Ageing?

This year it’s all about building new partnerships and hearing from those at the forefront of Creative Ageing, the challenges and opportunities being presented.

Together with Arts Council England and Baring Foundation we're bringing together artists , voices with lived experience and from the care, health and cultural sectors. This is an opportunity to share ideas, reflect on the past three years and build a collective sense of "What next?" for the Creative Ageing movement nationally.

What you can expect?

Centred on the themes of Agency and Voice, Ageing Well, Place and Community and Cultural Venues, you’ll develop ideas, make contacts, hear from those engaged in Creative Ageing and be inspired to make positive change.

Across the day we’ll have 20 sessions, featuring practical creative activities, Q&A panels and presentations.

Sharing the stage alongside participants, we’ll hear from care, health and cultural sector representatives with discussions and provocations from older artists, poets and arts organisations.

Tickets to the conference are free and can be booked via the Eventbrite ballot from July 28, 2023. We’ll also have a digital ticket for those unable to make the journey in person.
