Our Online Shop
Proceeds from our shop go towards improving the lives of older people and those living with dementia.
An uplifting dementia-friendly book about the life and work of world-famous artist Thomas Bewick. With an easy to follow narrative, the book is rich with intriguing details and narrative provoking curiosity and prompting conversations between people living with dementia and their family and friends.
Our first publication has been designed with and for people with living with dementia living in the North East. When read together, it provides a shared reading experience that creates conversations based on the here and now and where our imagination can take us rather than relying on reminiscence.
North East children’s author David Almond said: “This is a lovely book - really well written, beautifully designed, informative, accessible.”
The book uses material from the Pease Collection, an archive in Newcastle with international significance as the most complete collection of Bewick’s printed materials. Bewick Tales is a landscape, hardback book measuring 200mm x 250mm.
