A Summer of Singing
For relatives and friends lonely in lockdown why not order a smile and song from Equal Arts Singing Hinnies?
While lockdown measures are relaxing for some, there are a great many who'll continue to shield and self-isolate. Social distancing safely, the Singing Hinnies will put their tunes top of their list of essentials, helping reduce loneliness and keep connected through creativity.
Our professional musicians are out and about across Gateshead, Newcastle and County Durham and can swing by with a song for the street or a garden gig for those living in care.
We know how detrimental loneliness can be with days seeming longer in lockdown. So, if a smile and a song fits the bill (we even take requests) get in touch and get the Singing Hinnies to Sing for the Street.

"Thank you for making their day. They are both on the shielding programme and they absolutely loved yous turning up unexpectedly.”
“It can be incredibly lonely being in a bungalow on your own, and people who don’t normally come out have been on their doorstep and cheered up by the singing.”
Creativity in care homes doesn’t have to lapse in lockdown. Our Singing Hinnies have been warbling through the windows, reaching out to residents and care staff, keeping spirits high.
If you’d like to book a garden gig for your care home, hospital or sheltered housing scheme you can do it here.
"You are the light in people's lives at the minute.
"When they are cannot see their families, you are the only connection and connection is what is needed for older people to stop them feeling isolated. Doing this through creativity is keeping them all going."
